Frequently Asked Questions
When should I Apply?
You can apply at any time! If you’re planning to travel between June and August, we recommend applying early, as spaces fill up fast. We recommend that applications be submitted at least 60 days before your intended start date to allow time for preparation and payment.
Can I apply for multiple programs or countries?
Yes! You’re welcome to join more than one program. You can note this in your application form, or submit separate applications for each destination. A separate registration fee applies for each placement.
Can we apply with friends or as a group?
Absolutely. Friends, couples, and university groups are all welcome. You can apply together by indicating the number of people in your group and including their names in the “Special Requests” section — or each person can apply separately and list one another.
Do I need experience to join?
Most of our programs don’t require prior experience — just a willingness to get involved, learn, and work as part of a team. Some specialist programs (like Medical Assistance) do require relevant studies or qualifications, which will be clearly listed on the program page.
What happens after I apply?
Once you’ve completed your application and paid your registration fee, you’ll receive a confirmation email, access to your Info Pack, and further instructions to prepare for your placement. Our team will also be in touch with travel advice and any next steps.
Is there a registration fee and is it refundable?
Yes, we charge a $199 registration fee only once your application has been accepted. Applying is completely free, and you’ll only be asked to pay after your placement is confirmed. This gives you the freedom to explore our programs with no upfront commitment. Please note, the registration fee is non-refundable once paid, as it secures your spot and provides full access to our pre-departure support.

To confirm your place, a $199 confirmation deposit is required. Your remaining balance (program fees and any optional add-ons) is only due 60 days before your start date.
Your fees directly support both the operations of our local teams in various destinations and the services we provide to ensure your experience is safe, well-structured, and impactful.

How Our Pricing Works
One-Time Confirmation Fee - $199
This confirms your placement and gives you access to:
- Full pre-departure support
- A comprehensive information pack and preparation materials
- Ongoing help with flights, insurance, packing, and visas
- Peace of mind that you’re supported by an experienced team
- Financial protection and emergency contact support
- Certificate of participation
If, for any reason, we’re unable to accept your application, your registration fee will be refunded in full.
Program Fee – Based on Duration & Destination
Your program fee covers the in-country services that make your experience safe, structured, and rewarding. This includes:
- Airport Pick-Up
- Shared accommodation
- Three meals per day
- On-site orientation and training
- Daily program support
- Local staff and coordination
Each program page includes a detailed weekly pricing table, so you can plan based on your budget and availability.
Flexible Payment Options
You can choose to pay your program fee all at once or in instalments. Whichever you prefer, the full balance is due 60 days before your program start date.
